Delete Your Account
Riv lets you permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time, directly from the app.
How to delete your account
- Open the Riv app on your device.
- Go to the Settings tab.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
Your account and all data will be permanently removed immediately.
What gets deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently and immediately deleted from our servers:
- Your user profile (email address, name, authentication tokens)
- All uploaded conversation exports (Messenger and WhatsApp files)
- All parsed conversations and message content
- All AI-generated analyses, thread breakdowns, and synthesis results
- Structured oracle output (archetypes, badges, scales, relationship data)
- Upload history and job records
What is not stored by Riv
- Riv does not retain data after deletion — there is no additional retention period.
- Riv does not share or sell your data to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Third-party services
Riv uses the following third-party services that may independently retain minimal data according to their own policies:
- Stytch (authentication) — your OAuth session is invalidated upon account deletion.
- Adapty (subscription management) — purchase records are managed by Apple/Google and may persist in their systems.
